Wednesdays at The Strand - Spring II - Spring II 2024

Coed 4x4 - BB and B levels at The Strand!

 6 weeks long- five weeks plus playoffs

Wednesday volleyball at The Strand includes Coed 4x4 (one girl minimum) BB & B.  All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over), and all games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. There will be 2 divisions, A and BB/B. 

 BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good ralleys and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise. 

Parent / Child League at The Strand - Spring II 2024

Sunday - Parent/Child league STARTS MAY 12TH

Want to play with your kids? This is the league for you! We offer a couple of divisions based on skill level. This league is 4 weeks plus playoffs for a total of 5 weeks. This is a super fun league and has been my favorite one since I started it. Check these out!

Lower level - Super beginner level. Kids ages range from 7 to 12, based on skill. Teams play on a Juniors court (smaller than a doubles court) with a low net. We want to get the kids used to calling out the score, saying serve, practicing serving, and sharing the court with their partners. This is not a competitive league, just somewhere to get the kids together to play on a court. Weekly games will be match play. Best 2 of 3 playing the first 2 games to 21 and the 3rd to 15.

Upper level - This is a more advanced level. Kids are usually 13 and up based on skill. Teams play on a doubles court with a low net. Teams in this division are working on passing, setting, and hitting. This is for the kids that are playing in school, club, or leagues. Weekly games will be match play. Best 2 of 3 playing the first 2 games to 21 and the 3rd to 15.

Games will be at 4:30 or 5:30 pm on Sundays.

Open Gender Doubles - BB and B levels

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Sunday volleyball at The Strand includes - Open Gender 2x2 (all guys, all girls, or a mix). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. All games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. The time slots will be one hour long, and be at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30. MATCHES WILL START ON TIME.

The first day of Spring I will be March 17th.

Playoffs will be April 21st.

Here are the skill descriptions.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good rallies and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

Monday Doubles at The Strand - Spring I - Spring I 2024

Welcome to Spring I at The Strand!

Welcome to the first "official" session of 2024. No short session, no bs. This is it, we made it to 2024. This session lasts 6 weeks total.  Playoffs will be on April 22nd for Same Gender and April 29th for Coed.

 Here are the details.

• 6 weeks long
• 4 weeks of double headers, plus playoffs one week for same gender and one for coed.
• coed/revco will have only coed playoffs, ALL RESULTS COUNT TOWARDS SEEDING.
• same gender and coed/revco play at different times so you can play both leagues.
• Limited spots available.

League starts March 25th.

Tuesdays at The Strand - Spring I - Spring I 2024

Open Gender 4x4 - BB and B levels

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Tuesday volleyball at The Strand includes - Open Gender 4x4 (all guys, all girls, or a mix). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over), and all games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. The time slots will be 50 minutes long, and be at 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50. MATCHES WILL START ON TIME.

The first day of the Spring I session is March 19TH.

Playoffs will be April 23rd.

DRAFT LEAGUE - Spring I 2024

$25 per player - WINNERS WIN $100 EACH

24 player total - WE WILL BE ASSIGNING CAPTAINS FOR THIS LEAGUE

4 Weeks long, 3 weeks of double headers plus one week of playoffs.

BB level and higher please.

A - Consistent. Consists of teams with a solid knowledge of the game and rules. Skill levels range from Advanced Intermediate to Experienced. All players understand rotational sequence, offensive concepts (i.e., 5-1, 6-2, etc.) and defensive positions and can apply them in competition.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good ralleys and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.
